Water clear main lake, stained in the creeks from runoff. Starting to clear however. Water level up at 1.71 from full pool. Surface temp. 68 degrees. Had a very enjoyable day this afternoon, just got off the water. Fish time 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. . Bass excellent to 6.5 lbs. with most in the 2-4 lb. range. 42 fish total. Sight fishing beds or fan casting the 10-15 ft. range is working very well with texas rigged baby brush hogs (watermelonseed) or bedbugs (amistad craw) . Lots of females showing up again ripe with eggs. I believe this is the beginning of the second wave for the main lake. Swimbait bite is also holding it's own along with deep diving cranks (green back/silver belly). We did see one real good (estimated 12 lbs.) bass cruising but had no interest in me today. Maybe next time. Until next trip. Regards.
