We put in on the heels of the kayak dawn patrol. They all went to Seaholm while we stayed around Congress St. bridge. Bites were tough to come by but we managed to salvage a reasonable day out of it. We got fifteen between the two of us. The fanwort looks really good. The water is a nice watermelon color with water temps running around 79°F. Bream are swarming over their beds. The current at Congress was imperceptible. We caught ours at all the usual spots: above fanwort, beneath docks, beside pilings, under sweepers, along laydowns, etc. The only place we didn’t get ‘em was on top.

We had a nice chat with one of the regular yakkers. He said he’d been on a run of consecutive tournaments. He gave us a good run down of the local lakes. Off at 11:30AM.
