Hit LA with son on Monday, mostly fished Steiner area and came away with one dink, and 2.5 lb for my 6 year old. Fished all day Tuesday, inspired by the report by Cody I fished new areas, and came away with two, biggest being 4.2 lbs near Austin CC. We threw everything at them and fished all levels of the lake with little to show. After reading reports and knowing how fickle LA is, I feel pretty good about 4 fish in two days....am I sick? Will be fishing next week and would like to go with someone who knows LT and LA and can share some advice. Open back seat or would back seat in another boat.

Lake Austin is a fickle lake, with the weather conditions and the fact it is so clear you sound like you did fine. Just keep going and don't depend on any one lure or spot. Change things up, the lake is always in transition.

Tight lines

Fished east of the bridge from around 10:30 - 2pm and caught 2 keepers.  I think I would've done better had I started throwing the crank earlier.  Water was 55 degrees.  Check out this (spot?)...it had some of the most pronounced markings I'd ever seen...
