My friend and I went out to LA last night, launching from 360 at 6:30pm and off the water by 12:30pm.

This was only my 5th time on LA. We were looking to find some big bass, but no such luck yet. I'm not real sure were to look?

We did come across some whites busting the surface at the mouth of a cove and had a killer time for about 20 minutes. Boated some 14-15" lmb at the same time. They were slammin my lipless crank on every cast! I couldn't get the fish unhooked quick enough..

No bites on the baby rattlesnakes tonight...

SOUNDS LIKE SOME FUN. DID YOU RUN INTO THE BASS CHUMPS OUT THERE.
I saw a bunch of bass boats, but I didn't talk to anyone. It looked like a little tournament was going on.
That's fun when you're on them like that. I've seen white bass and black bass schooling together on LA. Can catch a lot of fish in little time.

D
I also fished LA yesterday evening. I saw lots of boats stacked up around Quinlan area when I passed by. Fished north of Quinlan mostly. I caught the one below on a weightless senko and had another almost in the boat the same size using a swimbait, but I lost it after the second jump/shake.

There was two bass tournaments that I knew of...Bass Chumps and then another local bass club night tournament. Both started at 8pm till 8am this morning...

Plus you had the weekend crowd out there too. I fished some with EA on Friday afternoon, and I actually got skunked. We went on a  scouting mission. I know where NOT to fish.  ;D

There was a cove towards City park, that was loaded with shad. EA caught a bass and I missed a couple. They looked like 1.5lb bass chasing the shad. I did see one that looked bigger...
