Fished LA from 6AM til around 12:30 starting at Quinlan Park ramp. Caught 1 - 4 lber on a 6" Zoom watermelon candy lizard and another 4 lber on a firetiger colored Norman DD22 CB. Both were 18" long. The wind was breezy but temperature was great. All in all, still beats working on a Friday.
Was by myself, so had to hold the two fish out at arms length to photograph. Will post pics after putting them on photobucket.

Nice report! Sounds like a fun morning even with this wind. Taking pictures while fishing solo can be tricky. I've already dropped one camera in the water that way. Nothing like being away from work and on the water though.

Good looking fish. LA has some healthy bass. wish I could find a consitent pattern on that lake. I have good days every now and then its easily the most difficult lake to pattern for me which aggarvates me because I know there are a bunch of big fish in there.

I asked around to some of the veterans of this site ,when I first starting fishing LA, about some hot spots on this lake but nobody could tell me. At first I thought these people were just holding out, the resoponse I always got was that the fish in LA move around alot and no one spot is hot everytime, but its true the fish seem to move around alot in this lake.

There has only been one consistent place for us where we have always caught fish and it is usually in the early afternoon for some reason, but it is past City Park on a bend where a good size piece of shoreline is being built with condos or homes not sure, but we always do well there.

Our electronics are not sophisticated so I have no clue what can be holding fish there?
