Went out to LA this morning. got there at 6:45 and literally there were 6 empty parking spots. I asked a guy if there was a tourney. he said yea there were a couple. I wonder how coincidental that was since the SAL last week : There were pretty much fishermen every 100 yards or so all morning -- surprising since Bass Champs was over on LT. My motor was acting wompy on me, sputtering out off and on as it has the last couple times I took it out. I then decided perhaps it was ethanol gas or something, so I started running the lake and after a half hour at WOT she was running like she never had a problem. Ran it for another half hour and nearly burned all the gas out of it, so if yall saw a procraft running by you over and over it was me!

When I did fish, I tried to target 10-15 fow, but never got a bite. Never hit the grassy areas I wanted either. Awesome morning for fishing though, so I hope all the LA newcomers enjoyed themselves as I did, even with motor trouble.

I was out there today. You're right, there were a lot of boats, but I didn't think the crowd was that bad.

Which procraft were you in? I saw one Procraft fish and ski and one bass boat go by a few times...

I only caught 3 and biggest was just 2 pounds. One on a jerkbait, one on a shaky head and one on a wacky worm.

I did catch a large landing net. Looked like it had been on the bottom a LONG time...

Highlight/lowlight was being harassed by a swan. Darn thing kept biting my motor and I couldn't get rid of it. Started the motor up and it had no fear...I was afraid it might grab the fuel line... I eventually tried idling away and it actually chased me down, and I thought it was going to come in the boat. Later I saw it following another boat, but it didn't seem to hate their Merc as much as it hated my Yamaha.

Hope others were a lot more successful out there than I was.

I was out there this morning, the only thing I caught was a tree hanging over the water and lost a brand new lure!

Down by the bluffs by the water station on the lower end...

I'm a catch and release guy, so that net is still there.  Way too slimy to bring in the boat.

Ranger I was in the 17 foot Blue and Silver Procraft. I was the one that we passed by each other a couple of times I think. You were fishing alone correct?
