Ike is a nut, funny as hell and truly a good guy. Never fished so fast in my life and he whooped my butt. Watch the show in late Feb ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Gotta drive the ratings so they will give me my own show haha. In all seriousness, I want to check with the producer before I post a detailed report.

Misunderstanding on our end, we only fish one day. Tomorrow is all interviews and shots around the city. Ike and I talked about it and we decided it was best to stay put. We finally got on a decent pattern after about 3 1/2 hours and decided it would be best to stay put and not start from scratch and at this point I still thought we had another day to fish. If I had known that, I probably would have thought harder about making the move. Also we didn't get the permit to run the big motor on TL, which definitely affected my thinking.

Now my City of Austin rant. The producer filed an application for the permit and made repeated phone calls to follow up. His permit application was never reviewed and he never got a call back. WAY TO GO AUSTIN. You will go out of your way to ensure we cater to every lost soul, nut job and charity case in the state of Texas, but can't handle a simple permit application. This would have been awesome. Having that ability on LBL could have produced one amazing fishing show.

Yea I agree!  There are great fish to be caught there!  Knowing how Ike goes crazy on a 14" fish........I would have loved to see him pull in a 22-23" 6lb+ hog outta TL!!

I guess since there will be no fishing on TL tomorrow......I am going to Fayette instead. I was hoping to land a fat one under the bridge while he was drop shoting the bridge pilons! HAHA

Here is a picture for ya Robert...

Trey and Ike, and 3 members of the production crew (it was a crowded boat)

When they needed longer range shots, they all jumped on my boat - seems like we did that about 30 times all day.

I provided camera boat support and lodging for Ike's fishing machine:

Mike is a really cool guy, very down to earth and nice to be around.  On the camera, he is IKE.  We got to see a couple of screams and antics but since there was no pigs caught no real "going ike" was seen.

Overall I learned more in one day of watching him fish than I thought possible.  I am working on the write up...more to follow.

Just out of curiosity how did you get to be the lucky one to fish with him? If you don't mind me asking.
A couple buddies sent in e-mails to recommend me and I sent one myself. BUT I think it really helped that the producer was born and raised in Chicago....and I'm a badass. Not at fishing, just in general. ;D
