Lake Austin from 2:00PM to 7:30PM
Water Temp: 59-61 North half of Lake
Visibility: 6-8 feet (Clear)
Weather: Breezy (felt like 25 mph gusts at times) right until sunset then the last hour was smooth as glass
Put in at Quinlan Park and headed up and started working docks and grass (surprise...surprise for LA I know
) Picked up 2 fish the first hour. Moved down to almost mid-lake and found a nice little hot spot and picked up 5 more(Two 3+ lbers). Moved back north all the way past the bluffs and worked back down the grass side and ended up picking up 4 more right up until 7PM.
Wacky rigged Senkos really seemed to do the trick today. Boated 11 fish total (10 bass and 1 hybrid) 6-7 of them would have kept and best 5 would have been about 12.5 to 13 lbs. All fish were released and healthy.
Oddly, I only saw one boat out there I recognized today (Jaime - West Point Bay boat).
Here are a couple of the smaller fish we manager to get pictures of before my buddies phone crapped out on him.
