actually there’s starting to be quite a bit of hydrilla and monkey grass, just have to know where to look….

I've been fishing a long time and never heard of monkey grass? I thought that was the stuff people planted in their flower beds.

I think the official name is Chara Grass. It only grows in mats near shore up to 4’ deep

Never heard chara called that before. Chara is one of the nastiest grasses in the water. Now hydrilla on the other hand is a different story. Thanks for the info. I have only fished Lake Travis a handful of times in the 20 years I've been in this area. I guess growing up fishing in east Texas I'm drawn more to the lakes with grass in them.
