My buddy Justin from @someplaceoutdoorsfishing and I fished the TTZ winter Classic on Jan 2nd, how did we do??
actually there’s starting to be quite a bit of hydrilla and monkey grass, just have to know where to look….Looks like there is a little bit of hydrilla in the water where the fish were released?
I've been fishing a long time and never heard of monkey grass? I thought that was the stuff people planted in their flower beds.actually there’s starting to be quite a bit of hydrilla and monkey grass, just have to know where to look….
I think the official name is Chara Grass. It only grows in mats near shore up to 4’ deepI've been fishing a long time and never heard of monkey grass? I thought that was the stuff people planted in their flower beds.
Never heard chara called that before. Chara is one of the nastiest grasses in the water. Now hydrilla on the other hand is a different story. Thanks for the info. I have only fished Lake Travis a handful of times in the 20 years I've been in this area. I guess growing up fishing in east Texas I'm drawn more to the lakes with grass in them.I think the official name is Chara Grass. It only grows in mats near shore up to 4’ deep
