Was able to fish Lake Travis on Sunday early morning. Glad I did. Fished by myself the first few hours, in a big school of white bass. White Bass stayed up the longest I have seen in several years. From 6:15am till 7:45am...I have no idea how many I caught and released, but it was several limits I am sure! Mainly small whites from 10" to 12" with the bigger ones coming on slabs and deep diving crankbaits. All the others on Zell Pop-Z-Shad.

Called Glen to meet me at Arkansas Bend Point. We fished till 10:am or a couple of hours. Fishing boat docsk in deep water with Flat A Firetiger crankbaits. Caught a couple nice bass before the heat ran me off! Off the water at 10:30am...

Good EYES! Yes, there was only one hook of the treble hook. Also, lost several due to short strikes. I thought that they were small. I would crank fast then stop the bait. They were then slamming it and had no problem catching/landing bass after I figured it out. ;D ;D

Water was ultra clear and calm this morning.....

I've been getting short bit on the reaction baits. Even with a stinger. My crank fish have been slapping at the bait. They’re definitely not inhaling the bait like they were.

Nice fish! I have yet to catch a white bass on topwater. I will have to keep trying!

I have heard with spinnerbaits if you are getting short strikes you need to alter you spinnerbait color. Don't know if this holds true with other baits or not?
