Cannot make this one as I have obligations tomorrow. In fact, I have not been able to fish since the last one which only yielded one dink. Major withdrawals. Also, red flag warning through tomorrow afternoon. It will be a windy one.

Hoping to get on the water Sunday. Sounds like the LA has been picking up as of late.

If its blowing like it tonight, it will be a rough one.
Damn forecasters. Doesn't seem like much wind this am. Good luck to those who can get out and fish. Even a windy fishing day is better than a honey-do day.

I'm up ready to fish as always on Saturday morning but I sure as hell am not going anywhere.
Weather forecasters are wrong again..

At 8:31am this Saturday morning, winds out of the NW 7 MPH...Wind Chill: 45°F

FORECAST FOR SATURDAY:
Today: Sunny, with a high near 65. North northwest wind between 10 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
How about winds consistant 20 an gusts to 35, at least that's what it felt like.

We had 4 boats show up....it turned into a old school grudge match.

Alan
Duke
Scott
Dale and Paul

My stars aligned and I got on a good early bite in the wind.  I was culling about 7:45am.  Ended up with 17lbs and a 5-9 kicker.  The other guys all caught fish, but they were alot smaller   :D

The bite was pretty good today considering the conditions.  The water temp held pretty warm, so the fish seemed uneffected.   That's the view from the winners circle   :)
Congrats Alan, nice stringer given the post front conditions!

Props to the other 3 teams that made it out. Everyone deserves recognition for showing up in those conditions.

I was planning to make it to the weigh in but ended up not getting on the water until noon for my breaking in my new piston. By the time I got to city park doing less than 25 mph during the first hour of break in it was nearing 12:45. Motor rebuild runs great now! Did break in drill for 3 hrs and it never missed a beat. Has a lot better throttle response and mid range power now too. That may be from the NOS though ;)

Hope to make the next Sat morning HHJ now!

Great job Alan! What sort of weights did the other guys have?
I think I had about 7-8 pounds on 3 but I turned them back after talking with Alan. I did hook 2 more at the City Park ramp while talking wih Alan and waiting for Dale/Paul and Duke to get to weigh-in. It looked like Dale and Paul had about the same.

The bite was actually pretty good for post-frontal conditions. Just had too many little fish.
