Launched at Mansfield at 7AM and fished around Point Venture all day until 3PM. Clients came all the way from England -but not just to fish with me. ;-)
Bluebird skies and not a lick of wind in the morning. A front came through and the fish started turning on in the afternoon.
Managed to catch approximately 15 whites, a few goos, a few perch, 1 spottie, 7 largemouth with the biggest going around 5 to 6lbs.
All fish came on jigging spoons in the morning until the front headed in -after that it was topwater all the way. The 5lber annihilated the Pop-R, nothing like topwater fishing. See below for pics:
