Although it rained ALL DAY, had a great trip to Fayette Wednesday.
Caught a few early by the Dam on flukes, then the heavy rain started. Switched to a SPRO BBZ-1 swimbait, and had a blast. Waking the bait right on the surface, and they'd blast it like they were eating a buzzbait.
When the rain lightened up, after a brief stint in the truck because of some pretty close lightning, I started throwing a Salt & Pepper Shad Assassin w/ a Chartruese tail, and they were eating it up. One of the most fun days I've had on the water in a while.
No big fish, but probably 25 to 30 fish from 2.5 to 5 lbs. Enough to make my hands pretty sore. ;D
