If you got the length, there are several weight calculators that are usually close. Nice fish! JR

Nice fish JonT we were out there this evening as well. We caught a couple of keeps mid lake then bro caught this one on the lower end. We put it on the scale and it was right at 5lbs.

That gives some good perspective, I guess I'll call mine more like 4 pounds now...  

What do you mean by "lower end" and "mid lake", I assume mid-lake is near the 360 bridge?

Jon T good fish either way man!  To me a good indication usually of a fish 5lbs or over is when their eyes start bulging out, when thats the first thing you see from a distance you know you got a toad.

Lower end to me has been anything below 360 mid lake is from 360 up to Quinlan and then Upper is beyond Quinlan to the dam.   Thats just how I look at it might be a little different for some.

I need to get on some Trout and Redfish action real soon.

Not sure about others but for me:

360 south to Dam is lower end.
360 to MILF park is mid lake
MILF park to Mansfield dam is upper end.
