Georgetown Bass Club is a group of long time fishermen. We meet 2nd Tuesday one time each month at 7:00 PM at Mel's Bowling Alley off Austin Ave in Georgetown. We fish 12 tournaments a year. We have been a club since 1974. We do not have a web site but if you want more information come to our first meeting January 13th. We are not afillated with TABC or other organizations.
The purpose of this club is to promote the interest in bass fishing and to provide a fun program, such that members can learn to enjoy recreational benefits of the bass fishing and the association with other people with the same interest.”
We keep it simple, we talk fishing, we fish for a litttle pot money each tournament, we laugh alot along with good eats and drinks, but most of all we just like to go fishing and teach others the art of tricking the bass to bite.

Come visit us if you would like to have fun and learn from Fishermen we have in the club.

Asking this for my old man he lives up in Gtown....What lakes do you fish normally and what are the costs associated with each tourney...yearly fees? Seems like a laid back club which would fit my old man good but at 69 he just doesn't want to travel too dang far anymore.

We fish local Highland Lakes, Choke, Belton, Still house, Canyon. We do a local two day late spring tournament. We fish 2, two day touraments Spring and Fall away, as far away as T-bend, Amestad, Falcon, Fork. Our first tournament is on Fayette Janury 11th. You can pay your dues and tournament fee at the ramp before you weigh in. We do paper tournaments, but have not done a draw in a long time. We try to pick a lake at monthly meeting for a lake that has best reports for the bite. We do have some seasoned fishermen with a lot of knowledge. We do have some that have competed in TTZ, Bass champs and other clubs. But we do have some that have not grown up yet too! Last year we had 31 paid memebers. Fees are 25 dollars to join per year. Tournament fees are $15 dollars per man unless you want to join the side pots which is $20 dollars per man. So if it were a team completing in all side pots it would be $70 dollars per boat. Side pots pays high individual, big bass, and 1st place team. Club moneys pays 1st, 2nd, 3rd place and big bass. We are a three fish limit for weigh in this year. So bring your best three alive.
You may call me at 512-375-6577 if you want to know anything else.
