Got my usual late start around 10:15. Got to my first spot and saw that it had and was being fished. I decided to fish behind him and caught 9 off that stretch. The wind was ridiculous at times but the fish bit all day. Clicked 30 by the time I quit at around 4:00. I don't like it when the clicker stops at an even number because it seems made up. If anything the count is low because I don't always remember to click. The fish were caught on a 2.8 Keitech on 1/8 or 3/16 weedless ball head or a Strike King Baby Z Too jerk bait on the 1/8 oz. Water temp was 74º-75º. When I loaded up big waves were rolling across the ramp at Jim Hogg and I had a hard time getting it in the groove. The Corps of Engineers were there doing training. Eight or ten big boats putting out big floating balls. I worked for the Corps for 14 years. My first job after college.
