518SVX, if you don't mind me asking, what are you upgrading too? I've been considering upgrading this year to color but can't choose between the Hummingbird and Lowrance GPS combos nor do I like their new price tags.

Derrel,

I ended up going with the X510C.  I wanted an affordable, color, high resolution fish finder for the front bow.  Cabela's had them for $399 ($100 off).  I also had some Cabela's gift cards to use.

I debated on spending the extra $100 for the 522ci GPS unit but didn't see myself using the GPS that much on the bow.  Also, I read reports about poor GPS reception from the internal GPS antenae when you tilt it back for a better viewing angle.

Decided to stick with a less expensive unit equivalent with the X135 but with color display.
