Hi Folks!

Spring cleaning in the garage turned up 5 or 6 old rod and reel combos that I would like to donate to someone who works with some sort of charity involving kids and fishing.

There's nothing too fancy, but good functional Zebco type stuff I'd like to put in the right hands to involve some kids with fishing who might not have an opportunity otherwise.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

George Castleberry

Wells Branch puts on a kid fish event or two every year at Mills Pond so maybe they could use them. Call the Wells Branch MUD office they can help you.

I run or teach several kid's fishing events a year. A big one in Kyle http://www.cityofkyle.com/recreation/youth-fishing-clinic-derby on June 3rd, an even larger one in Buda on June 10th, several at McKinney Falls, Buescher State Park and a few other locations. I'm sure I can find a few kids that would love to have their own rods and reels to take home from one of those events. I've also been gathering some equipment and supplies that will be donated to the https://www.facebook.com/HOWFtHoodChapter/ for their event on June 24th.

Dobie MS has some boy scouts, with not a lot of money they would probably like them. Just call the school and they should be able to help you, help those kids.
