Yesterday. Put in at 360 and went above QP. Put in at 6:30 and left at 1:30. Fished grass inside, outside and flipped pockets. Used spinnerbait, swimbait, tube, jerkbait, TR worm and senko. NADA

Went to docks, using same and NADA.

Went to shaded over hanging trees and managed one dink on watermelon red worm.

Went to bluffs just before 360 bridge and managed another dink on a TR worm. Met another boat with a couple of fellows who had done better but not much.

Tough lake and the wake boarders made it diffucult to fish with all the waves. All in all I can see why it can produce the size and numbers. I'll just have to figure it out and find some other time to fish it besides on the weekends.

I had a similar experience on Saturday. We pretty much had the same pattern sounds like. We managed 5 total. The largest came while fishing off the dock at Walsh while waiting on my buddy to park. 3.2 lbs. 1st cast on a shakey head worm. There was a lady with 2 young kids there on the bench. I could hear her explaining what it was that I was doing, getting the boat ready etc. She was very excited that I was able to show her children the act of catching a fish as well.

Yeah, those wake-boarders make it tough all the way around.

After looking at the reports I was either in the wrong part of the lake or too lazy to tie on a wacky worm or frog.  Oh well I'll file it away for the next time and get an energy drink for changing baits.  ;D

Someone tell Hard Head he has a pm please.

Hey Hard Head, you have a PM ! ;D ( that should do it )

Coach, do not give up out there. Right place right time can be key on LA. The more you go the better the odds of being there when....

Thanks EA. I plan on fishing it alot more with the price of fuel. I normally like to travel to Choke or Amistad but $$ have cut that down. I hate learning a new lake but then that in itself is part of the the fun. I have already learned that weekends are a NO NO unless you get there early and leave early. Heck I might even try some of that night stuff if I can learn how to stay up past 10.

Coach,

Staying up past 10 for me is no problem, it is getting up before 10 that is the problem ;D ;D

The best thing to do on LA IMO, is to get a few spots, or focus on 3 - 4 techniques that you like ( t-rig , WW, CB, TW, ect ... )  Plan to fish for 2 -3 hrs. If you are not hitting em, get out of there. If you start seeing a pattern, stay on it. That is what I do.

Also, coming out to the Wed nights are great to. You will meet some of the best LA fisherman of all time ( not me ), and gain some good insight.

If you were fishing docks all evening with a senko, and get skunked and couple of guys bring in 20 lbs, guess what, you just learned something.

Most of the time, info is free flowing if asked. Where were ya, what were you using, ect... Since I started fishing, and now helping with the Wed nights, I have learned  A LOT about LA.  ( I still get my butt handed to me out there all the time, but that is because I am not that good at fishing. )

Just keep at it, and remember, any cast could be that 8 - 12 lbs fish !!!

Coach,

Check the Tournament section.

We have a little T ( starting now every Wed night ) from 6:30 to 10p. Entry is $40.00 per boat.

Last week was 29 boats.

I was just commenting on how much you can learn when comparing what you did to 28 other boats. We normally hear what was going on that night at weigh in, and then really hear about it under 360 bridge about 10:30 pm or so.  ;D ;D

AS LONG AS DWAYNE DOES NOT SHOW UP  ;D

The last time, EA and I fished, I caught the winning 3rd fish at 9:50pm...So, do not give up! Placed 3rd at 15.93lbs behind a 23lb stringer for second....

I can't catch a damn fish on LA anymore so I just show with a 6 pack of 16oz Miller Lites and listen to those that can catch fish.... I'm currently in one of my hate LA patterns now. But every once in a while it is good to me. Been a long time....

An old Chinese proverb says....

" A man with a bad attitude in a corn field, will only grow a potato "

Or... something like that... Ok, I just made that up. But it is true. 8)
