Thanks to all who came out, especially the teams from Round Rock and Killeen. that's a long way to go... 11 boats total...

1st - Noel and Audra Spann 3 fish 3.8lbs
2nd - Doug and Cheryl Blackstock 3 fish 3.47lbs
3rd - Bill Hargis and partner(sorry) 2 fish 1.73lbs

Typical Fayette fishing, everyone reporting all the 5 and 6 pounders being caught and everyone having a hard time finding the "dinks".

Next week we're back on Bastrop. Big Bass $$$ still on the lake. I hope to see everyone next week!!!!!!

Z,
Thanks. It was great to meet you and a bunch of the guys last night. The weather was perfect.....for once it wasnt blowing 20 mph on Fayette!
Like everyone else, we caught alot of fish and got lucky enough to catch a few small enough to weigh.
The story for us last night was...Kicker Fish wacky worms in the grass, a few spinner bait fish, and a couple of topwater bites.
See yall on Bastrop soon!!!!!!

Noel
P.S. The wife said that yall wouldn't believe I was from Fayette County now because I didnt even have beer with me last night!!!! ha!

Congratulations Noel and Audra on the win.

Same here, it was great to meet a lot of you and I‘m looking forward to doing this again.

My wife and I caught so dang many fish in a short period of time it wasn’t even funny. The bite was on fire for us, but the dinks were somewhat a little hard to come by. My wife was having so much fun catching the bigger fish that every time I would move to target the smaller fish she would complain and tell me, go back over there where I was catching fish, you keep moving me off of them. I final told her that if she wanted to catch some big fish after the tournament then I had no problem taking her out and doing so, but for now we are after the dinks.

Oh man, I also made a huge mistake by culling some fish early in our trip. With the fast bite and all I should have made myself slow way down and measure the bigger fish several times before culling. Right as we were rapping things up to go to the weigh in, something told me to double check our fish. So I did and two were just a tad over the line no matter how many times I measured. I knew one was going to be close, but I had no clue about that second one. I guess in a since, one could call this greed. Any how it was lesson well learned. Should a, could a, would a right. I’ll get it right next time, and I won’t make that same mistake twice.

It was a lot of fun, and I kind a hope this experience my wife just experienced will get her out doing this with me more often.

Nice fish.

My wife even mentioned something to me on the way home about me not taking pictures of her big fish. She wanted to know what was up with this. LOL
What can I say, Heck I didn't even think about it at the time.
