Been making a few trips to either Fayette or Bastrop this month, all with good to above average results.  Fayette was the most recent, it's not really a matter of if the fish are biting, it's a matter of where and what they are eating.  Starting throwing DD22's on the rock and had a few smacks at it but nothing would stay hooked.  Made our way to the shallow flat out by the intake and hooked a few slot fish on cranks.  Was tired of fighting the wind so we found some protected water on the north side of the lake by the boat ramp on a main lake point and put the hurt of them.  It was funny, we would boat like 3-4 fish in a row and then the point would dry up for 30-45 minutes or more and then reload, boat another 3-4 fish.  All on soft plastics, probably had a dozen fish each.

It's slot lake farm pond fishing, but it's still a riot how hard these fish pull and how stupid they can be at times.

Got tired of the usual fish shots so here is an action shot, Louis swings a 3lber:
