Had another pretty good morning, but not like some of the other dudes here lately.
Put in at 6:30am, air temp around 72 degrees, water temp +/- 78 degrees. Overcast skies. Got off the lake at 12:30
We fished topwater the entire day, again Lance on a Yellow Magic popper, me on an H2O Sammy-type in baby bass. If they weren't hitting on top, we didn't bother with 'em.
I boated 10, with another dozen or so short-strikers and slappers. Lance boated 8 in the same weight range. All the boated ones were good keepers in the 2.5-5lb range.
The biggest one I caught we think was close to 7lb, but couldn't tell since I dropped her in the water trying to lip her into the boat. Lance had a great one blow up that broke his braid off right at the boat, so we don't know about that one either.
The fish were all northeast of the dam, with most coming from the timber just north of the dam, and the grass and reeds in Three Fingers.
Nice day on the water, no monsters, but no dinks either. Just a nice day on the water.
