Buddy and I decide to try Fayette Sunday. Started around 6:45 ended 1 pm. South wind about 5 to 10, water clear temps any where from 77 to 99 in the discharge. Started at the dam throwing talapia colored cranks and ratltraps caugt 2 this way, changed to a wacky worm and the bite picked up. The bass were right on the rocks very shallow. Probably due to the heavy cloud cover and wind. Caught 8 bass like this biggest about 5-5.5lbs. Searched around other areas with out much luck so about 12 went back to the other side of the dam and fished out deeper in 10 to 15 ft. Caught 4 more biggest was about 7 lbs...well that what it looked like before my line broke. The other 4 were solid 3 to 5 lbers. Not a bad day for not fishing there in a long time.

Good report.

Yep, as the water temp continues to rise, the fish bite will only get deeper. Early morning bites should still be some what shallow, but it doesn't take long after the sun comes up to heat it back up and they go deep.
