I got to fish Dad's pond on the way to the Classic last week. I fished from about 10:30am to 12 noon. Ended up catching about 12 or so between 1- 3lbs on a 4" swim senko off the bank. But the real fun was throwing a 6" swim bait. I got about 5 on the swimbait the best one of them being about 5lbs or so. That is some great fun. I'm sure it would work on LA about this time of year and wish I was closer to try it out!

I stopped back after the Classic for another try and it much a whole different pond! I fished for around two hours and only had 4 or fish total. One follow on the swim bait, but no bite. I actually had to resort to putting on a weightless Senko/ Flash to catch a couple. Bummer. Those Texas lakes and ponds are so sensitive to wind and weather temperature! Always good fun to get your rod pulled though.
