Got up plenty early enough but saw 41º on my porch so had that second cup of coffee. In my senior years I've become a fair weather fisherman. I never get there early as y'all know. Back in the day I was crazy and fished in whatever. I remember going to Whitney one Sunday looking for stripers when the high was 18º, but that's another story. Needed boat gas and had to wait in line at Quick Trip! Started fishing about 9:15. Tried to force feed the helicopter and only caught one. Tried the 2.8 and a Largo Shad for no hits. Remembered from last November the neko Texas rigged TRD worked well. Tied that on and started catching. Still was a grind but caught two on the helicopter and eight on the TRD before I quit at about 2:40. Water was 65º-66º. Quite a bit of boat traffic for a Tuesday.
