My experience over many years has been that Decker is either hit or miss, whereas Bastrop is good or real good. Bastrop has always been very good to me.
I agree this time of year. The plus for Decker is there are some biguns there but you're more likely to catch @ Bastrop.

Tell ya what.... I have a few free hours tomorrow 9-1ish. I'll go flip some reeds and check a few spots on Decker and see how it goes.

Decker was good to me today. Fished from 6:45-11:30 Managed 3 bass weighing between 3.25 and 4 and a few small ones too. Flip the reeds, you'll be okay.

If you like flipping reeds - Decker. If you like fishing grass - Bastrop.

Not saying there arent other things to do at either, but those seem most effective for me when fishing them. I have not been to either this year.
