Fished Decker this morning from 7-11. Very windy and cloudy water temp was about 74. Outside temp was 65-73. Was stuck in the back of coves because of the wind. Boated 5 fish. A few slot fish and 2 smaller. The biggest about 17-18 inches and about 3lbs. All caught on weightless senkos working the reeds. I think the first one I caught was a Guadalupe it was 18 inches and is the first picture.

Nothing Huge but was fun first time fishing on the boat I just bought and took a friend that has never fished for bass or used lures he caught a little one and was so excited and said he loved it great to introduce someone to fishing even if they are 25 years old. Still as fun as taking a kid for the first time. ;D

good pics! i took a 49 year old fishing for the very first time in her life about a year ago and i had a great time watching her so excited catching blue gill! only thing was we had a late evening strong thunderstorm hit us and she refused to leave! she said "we'll just have to ride it out!" ;D

I bet the wind was bad. I thought about hitting Decker today but decided not to because of the wind. Instead stayed and did some home repairs. Should have gone fishing.

The wind kept me from heading to Decker today but I plan to be there in the morning. I've caught some nice sized fish 3-4 lbs where you took that first pic. Looks like you had a decent day. 74 degrees ... warmed up pretty quick

Nice pics - I have only caught one black bass at Decker, everything else has been striper.. Sounds like I need to give that place another shot.

They lock the gates around 10 pm every night so there really isn't any night fishing. They want everyone out by that time.

The fishing is good out there. for tomorrow i would use spinner baits,flukes and shallow diving cranks along the reeds.If that doesnt work then throw pegged light weight texas rigs over the grass. Truely dought that is a G-bass, have never seen one on decker. also doesnt look like one, looks more like a Florida bass to me.
