Hit Decker after work for a couple hours with my father in law. Caught 12 lmb up to 3lbs on poppers and t-rigged rattlesnakes. Saw txlunkerhunter at the ramp when I was putting in, good to see you again it's been a while. Now for the bad part, was running across the lake right before sunset to hit up my favorite reed line and hit a pretty small wake and the velcro strap on my rod holder let loose sending 4 rods flying in the air(all $200+ combo's). Luckily my father in law grabbed 3 of them mid air and 1 went in the drink. :'( Luckily it was my oldest beat up citica, so theres a citica shimano rod combo at the bottom now. For being such a small lake it always gets me some how, I just have bad luck on this lake. After inspection my velcro straps are pretty worn out and don't stick to well, time to replace.

I feel your pain, got one on the bottom of Decker too. What really makes it hurt is the fact that I kicked it in myself. It was only in a couple of feet of water but couldn't find it. As for the fishing we fished from around 7:30 till about 4. Caught about 14 or 15 fish with a couple coming unbuttoned on white spinnerbaits and TR rattlesnakes, oh and one on  my old favorite worm( can't say what it is though). It would have been nice if there had been a little more of a breeze, think we maye have caught a few more fish if there had been. Now for my stupid question of the day. Was that you that I was talking to at the ramp? Was't paying much attention just rambling on to anyone that will listen.

I was the one putting in when you were at the ramp. Forgot to say I caught about a 5-6lb cat, thought I had a nice bass til I felt it start rolling. The topwater bite wen crazy the last 15 minutes of daylight. Every other cast was a fish but no biggun's just 2-3lbers.

Yep them cats can really get you. After only having my first boat for only about 3 months I caught a channel cat that was probably about 5 or so lbs.  Thought I had a big bass and was really pumped up that I had aready caught a big fish in such a short time till I saw it roll and thought to myself ( that don't look right ). Glad you caught some fish, told you we left plenty out there for ya'll.
