I used to fish decker a lot, and that is a great bass for it. Good job. : Are they still late about opening the gates?

I'd suggest you should be there around 6:30am...instead of 6 or early...
Yeap... we were supposed to be down Houston for the Spring Break, but the wife has to works, so I don't know where to go other than Decker Lake.. which is 10 minutes drive...we fish from 1:30 til 4:30pm.. caught 3 blk bass and 4 whites..all 4 whites are male very skiny kids released all fishes..

Thunder, I bet the kids had a ball catching some LMB's. And that big one, I know they had to of had a ball with that one.
If you are that close to Decker, You are probably not very far from Bastrop. They were terring them up not to long ago. From what I'v seen on the forum it is a great fishery. I haven't been out there, but I am going to try and go sometime and check it out.
