Long time reader... first time poster.

After a morning full of boat problems, running to south austin marine for a part, and back out to the lake.....

We finally got on the water with about 3 hours of daylight left and snagged this one.

Caught on 10.5 in green pumpkin Zoom Ol Monster in about 14 fow.

I didn't have a scale out on the boat and didn't want to put her in the live well until we got back to the ramp and risk hurting her. Can anyone help me estimate how much she weighed?

my best guess is that she was 16-18 in long.

Looks like a 5-6 to me. I'd say its closer to 20 inches, but I wasn't there!

I was out there today too. No boat so I was fishing off of the pier. I never catch anything there but it is always nice to start a day off with a good skunking. I would have brought my yak if I knew they were generating. It is such a trek to paddle all the way to the outlet. Takes me about an hour from the wall.

3and a half to 4 pounds. and would have been illegal to put in livewell. 14 to 21 inch slot lake.
