Made a trip to Decker on Sat 7:00am-12:00pm. 1st time out there in 3 years. Still looked the same, minus the hydrilla. Overall did pretty well. Caught about 15 fish in the 2-4lb range. Nothing over the slot. Most of the fish were caught on the Grande Bass Mutants on the rip rap. The bass where feeding on crawfish. Key was to soak the bait and the bass would come pick it off.

Yea, I have taken the year off from Bass Champs and FOM. In the process of building a new house and the kiddo's are starting to get older, just too much going on to stay focused. I hope to fish some of the opens and I am planning on fishing some of the HH tournaments once LA opens back up.
It is weird not having my tournament sch, however I am going to take advange of it and go to some of the lakes that I have abandoned.

What do you mean by "soak the bait and the bass would come pick it off", I don't follow.

Fishing slow.
What I was doing was throwing it out there and letting it sit for a few minutes and the bait would go to work. The wave action has the tails moving.
This is by far my favorite creature bait.
