Went out to Decker today with my son. Didnt get there until about 9:30 this morning though. It was a little windier then I expected but did manage to put this one in the boat that I caught and I let my son reel it in. Water was any where from 54 to 56 degrees. Had another good one on but lost it right at the boat. So not to good of a day but the fish I did catch were caught on a Texas Rigged Watermelon Red Baby Brush Hog. Tried the crankbait for awhile with no luck. There were quite a few boats out there. Maybe better luck next time.  ;D

Great picture. Nothing better than getting the kids hooked on fishing. With water temps that low it sounds like they haven't been doing much generating at Decker.

I was wondering about h2O temps at Decker....what time of year do those fish start to spawn? At the power plant lakes around DFW (Fairfield, Monticello, etc..) they usually started about now....

That is a great pic! Good work starting them off on a healthy addiction as opposed to the video game/TV addictions. Plus fish taste a helluva lot better than plastic and silicon, although I'll admit I've never tried blackening or frying a DS yet; reckon I'll stick with fish.
