I was out there on the afternoon of 3/14, but only manged one crappie on a red lipless crank. Saw probably 20 other people out there fishing too, and only saw one other person pull a fish out of the lake. A LMB out of some submerged brush.

I fished cypress creek from the bank a week ago.from8:00-11:00 at night. I only managed 1 15inch. largemouth bass on a bomber crank bait.We had another two lines in with cut shad for some cats but had no luck.Did see some other guys with some cats both channels and a nice blue what I saw but they were chumming the area and had a couple of lines in the water and they had been there awile.I think they were using live minnows. A friend of mine said he went back this week and hooked into a couple of crappie during the day.If you have the time and the patience you could catch some nice cats out there.I'm not sure about the whites buisness. You do have to work a little hard to catch fish at Cypress creek though.

I have fished Cypress creek twice in the past week. Once by boat and once by kayak. Both with no luck.

Granted the day with the Kayak it was VERY windy (15 to 20 mph with 25+ gusts) and we got skunked. The time by boat we went way to the end early in the morning. I got a couple nibbles on a small silver rooster tail but that was it. We saw things starting to break the water and got excited it was a school whites starting to break but it ended as quickly as it started.
