Great job Clint.  I noticed there was another person that had a 0 on the final day too, but they have him listed one place above you.  What do they use for tiebreaker?

Edit: OK I went and read the rules... they go by standings after day 2. So it kinda seems to me that the pro you fished with the second day screwed you out of $1k by having the attitude that it didn't matter how you did on day 2 since he figured you made the cut.

Yep that's pretty much how it summed up. It was still an awesome experience to go through.

Thanks for all the support guys. Bitter sweet though, stoked to make the top 10, but still stings not to catch a single keeper on the final day. That other guy almost hugged me when he realized he wasn't the only one without fish... hehe.

It was awesome seeing you up there! I was more excited about watching the co-angler weighin than the pros (still haven't checked the final results). Couldn't make it but saw the live stream yesterday. Thanks for mentioning us and TCBC - good thing you did it after the wife though ;D I'll have to get more details from you later...

Answering the question about feeling from the guys at the event. Most of the guys were excited about the number of fish being caught, just not the size. Most of the anglers I asked said they hoped the tour wouldn't come back to Travis, but they all know it's not up to the anglers... it's up to the highest bidding city for the event. The FLW tour makes money off the city the tournament is held in. 400 anglers, 30 or so production crew, and the angler families generate a lot of $$ for the area when a tournament comes to town.

In this case, the City of Jonestown forked over the $$ to host the first two days of the event and Austin picked up the rest for the final two days because Jonestown doesn't have a convention center to house the FLW Weigh-in Stage. Jonestown has won the bid for two of the TTT tournaments in the past and saw the rewards of hosting the tournament which is why they went for the FLW. Unfortunately, the lake went down by the time the tournament came and city couldn't take full advantage of the launch ramp $$, and $$ for local lodging and gas stations. Hopefully in my rambling you can find the answer to your question - Will they be back? The answer is, yes if Jonestown/Austin places the winning bid for hosting the tournament. Jonestown did go through the trouble of building another ramp for extreme low water, so it seems they are getting ready for future events. :)
