I'm going camping with my wife, sis and bro in-law 3-27-10. I have never been there and plan to take my
alum. skeeter bass boat. Park info indicates a boat ramp at the park, I'm wondering if  the water level at
that part of the river will allow us to use the boat. I'm hoping to fish the park area all the way to Lake
Buchanan. Any general info. will be greatly appreciated.  Sorry if I posted this in the wrong area. [smiley=undecided.gif]

I saw a post a couple of weeks ago saying the ramp was still unusable there. I'd call the park and ask them first.

PS - That 8 miles of dirt road after Sulfur Springs is notoriously hard on tires, especially trailer tires. You'll be tempted to go 30 mph in spots, but I'd recommend keeping it under 15 mph.

We used to camp and fish there every Spring Break. Take it slow on the gravel road into the park. Definitely follow posted speed limits. I have used the ramp many times, but you have to be careful. If the boat ramp is open, keep the trailer right in the center of the ramp and don't back any deeper then you absolutely have to in order to launch. There is a signigicant drop off on both sides of the ramp and at the end.
