Finally borrowed a kayak today and hit Brushy Creek from 10am-2pm.  Only picked up 4 fish (missed a few other bites)...but 3 of those 4 went better than 5lbs.  First was a 5.1...second was a 6.4 (from the same spot, about 2hrs later)....3rd was a 7.0.  All caught on a watermelon/red senko.  Bloody tails on all of them. Tough to get decent pics on a kayak...but here are the three girls...

Sure was fun to be back out on the 'yak, and to finally get on the lake I've lived so close to for 8 months.

Brushy Creek....As in Brushy Creek Park? That is very impressive. I've only fished it a few times, but I don't think all the bass I've caught add up to 7#s. Well done! What's your secret?

Yeah seriously ... I did not enjoy my time out there ... of course I know part of it was that I went on a weekend so it was crowded on the water to say the least ... but good job ... and if you want to provide GPS coordinates I will potluck you
