Picked up my new 21 FX in Kilgore last Friday and couldn't wait to hit the water. The "pirates" had me thinking that Falcon may not have been such a good idea so a buddy and I headed to Ivie. It was tough. 20-25 mph winds for two days resulted in a lot of talk about Falcon. We did catch fish and I managed to catch one good 8.3 fishing a bluff wall (just to get out of the wind) on a C-Rig W/R Rattlesnake.
We finally decided that we weren't going to allow five guys in a boat with a 40hp motor to keep us off of the lake we love so we headed from Ivie to Falcon. The wind was not much better there but the fishing was. No real giants but we had a great time. Here are a few pictures of our better fish.
Bobby caught this one just over 7 on a C-Rig on the end of a long point.
Two minutes later he caught this one just over 8 and we thought we were on to something (turns out we were wrong).
While not a giant, I did manage to catch my first Falcon topwater fish so I had a quick picture snapped.
The fishing was just average but I LOVE the new Skeeter. That 250 Yamaha SHO is everything they said it was. Here's a few pictures of the new toy.
