I took my Father-in-law, Jerry, fishing again yesterday. We launched at Burnet County at 10:15 and left at 4:15. Water temp 65-70.5. We fished Beaver Creek for the first several hours. I caught a 2lb lmb on a SB before 11 off of wood and Jerry caught several under sized lmb on a Roadrunner. He was searching for crappie in the wood. We moved up lake to the Tow area. It was still pretty slow untill 2:30 we found some fish. By 3 I boated 3 keepers. I also fought a solid 5 lber to the boat and fumbled while lipping the Bass. I didn't have a net and was afaid to get hooked. In that 30 minute span I also had two other fish on and two other bites. I was using a CB. I didn't mean to put it on him, I even gave him my backup bait. I don't know what it could have been. The only difference in our presentation was the speed of the reels. Oh well, he caught a few and had a good one on! He told me all the way home how much fun he had this weekend. Fishing twice, not to mention my wife taking him and family on a Train ride Saturday!
