Lake Austin, Emma Long Park (City Park)
Saturday, April 5th
07:00 a.m. until 01:00 p.m.
Registration 6:30 to 07:00 a.m at the boat ramp.
Weigh-in 01:00 p.m. at the boat ramp.
Compete to see who can bring in the heaviest bass.
Entry fee: $10.00 per angler
100% payout.
10 or less anglers pays 1 place, 100%
11 to 20 anglers pays 2 places, 60% and 40%
21 or more anglers pays 3 places, 50%, 30%, and 20%

NOTICE: This tournament is not officially sanctioned,
hosted, or endorsed by AustinBassFishing.com or by its
founders/administrators, nor are they liable for any
misfortune or accident related to this event.

If it becomes necessary to cancel due to forecast
of severe weather, the announcement will be made
April 4th.

After the tournament, the results will be posted
within this same message thread.

For those who want to launch at City Park, I have
noticed that someone usually arrives to open the
park gate between 06:00 and 06:30 a.m. This last
Saturday it opened at 06:10 a.m.

I missed last week...took my brother and gave him his choice of lake and he chose Bastrop. But I will be at this one with my regular partner.

Fished the Big Bass Tourny on LA with Son Billy today.  Bites were far less today than yesterday.  Only had three keepers around 1.5 to 2 pounds.  Joe Connell had much better luck as he had  a limit that would weigh 15+ pounds.  He actually won the Big Bass Tourny with a 6+ pounder.  Congrats to Joe.

Three separate times today I felt something like a bite, set the hook, and reeled in....a tree limb. I'm no expert, but they looked like pretty good specimens, and they fought well.

I didn't think the weigh bag by itself weighed much at all, but got home and weighed it and realized bag does actually weigh 8 ounces, so Joe's winning fish was an actual weight of 5 lbs. 10 ozs.
