Started fishing at 9:40. Rained all the way to the lake and the seats were all wet. Note to self: Put a towel in the boat. Tried topwater for a little while. Got the first fish on a finesse worm. Started alternating between the finesse worm and a Ned rig. Caught fish right away on Ned. Most of the day I kept alternating but the Ned caught the most. In one area I kept getting bites on the worm that felt like crappie to me so I stopped and tied on a 1/16 weedless crappie jig with a chartreuse plastic thing I don't know the name of. First cast I caught a little bass, then a small sand bass. Sand bass hits instead of crappie. I hooked a nice bass next but it got off. So the day went. Water was 59º-61º. Didn't see another boat. Weather man was right about gusting to 30 mpg. Biggest fish of the day was a drum on the Ned rig. Clicked 24 which includes 3 sand bass and that drum.
