Matt invited me to fish Lake Bastrop this cold/wet Monday afternoon. We lauched at Northshore. Only 3 boat trailers in parking lot.....

We started out fishing real shallow in eel grass to find the bite was not there. Matt fishing carolina rig. just like the last time when he caught double my catch....was skunked. I had 4 solid keepers on lipless crankbaits in 8-10 feet of water. No real pattern...Just points...

We moved a lot until we found a pattern...Positioning the boat in 20 feet of water and casting to edge of grass...we stuck and lost some toads (Toads-big fish over 5lbs) But there is nothing like setting the hook into a big bass, either carolina rigging or crankbaiting!

Pics soon to follow.

PS: Thank you for believing in me! ;D

Guys, do you even work?!  Fishing on Monday!  I think I'm going to start selling Zeiss microscopes or real estate, i.e., fish all the time!
;D

Looking forward to your pics (fish porn) nonetheless!

I fished a club tourney sunday and big fish was 8.3 lbs.
One hell of a nice bass!!!!!! Lance!

Once I figured out the pattern, I was catching good, solid fish....Lost a few too...But you will loose fish along the way...Just great to catch 4lb-6+ pound fish with no problem... ;D

You guys are great...I have been working over 29 years...As long as I produce, my management loves me....

Here is Matt's little fish for the day!

Here is my toad that made Matt cr&&p in his pants...LOL..

Great times in such a short time of fishing this afternoon!

Alright, I can handle it.  Bring it on!

Fayette toads.  Bastrop toads.  You just wish you were here with me at work....I know the story.

Great pics by the way! Nice to see you smiling!

Another good couple of hours on the strop today.  We had to work more to find them today as opposed to last tuesday.  Nice to get to use the drag though.  Robert was schooling me for a little while with his chucking and winding and vs my c-rigging.  I found some redemption on one of my fav. points.  We moved over to some mid lake grass and then he caught the black toad.  Thanks 4 posting the pics Robert
