Bastrop Sunday, Monday, Tuesday

I fished Bastrop three days in a row and had excellent fishing all three days. I only saw 3 other boats Monday and maybe 20 Tuesday.


I spent most of my time fishing outside the grass with crankbaits and spinnerbaits. Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning I caught a bass on every 5 or 6 casts. I have no idea how many I may of caught. I landed 4 overs during the trip. Most fish were in the 14 to 19 inch range.

I wasted about 2 hours flipping jigs in the trees in the northern creeks Monday morning before I went back to fishing crankbaits around grass. I stayed with cranks until I left yesterday afternoon.

Water temp was 64-68 degrees.
