Came home this weekend to see the family and also participate in Chris's event at Dell. I guess my son overheard us talking on the phone about maybe taking him out on the boat this weekend as well. We weren't sure if we wanted to do it or not since it was hot and we would have to get him up at 5AM so we could get out before the sun came up too high so he might not burn even with some SPF on. Well, we never talked anymore about it, and then Saturday about 5AM I hear keys jingle and didn't think anything about it and went back to sleep. Few minutes later I think I hear the garage door open and roll over to see if Karen heard that too but she wasn't in the bed so I thought she was letting the dog out so I went back to sleep. Few minutes later she crawls back in bed and I asked her about it and she said she was in the bathroom but didn't hear anything. So we are laying there and hear some klanking in the garage so we get up and head to the garage and were ASTONISHED as what we saw!! Skyler had got the keys to the truck I rented, backed it up and had hooked the boat up to the truck!! When he saw us, he said "bla bu ha hre arealr lrk" translated, "get ready let's go fish tenfo?"
So we get to the lake and I am looking for my fish with no luck and in his frustration, he kicked me from behind the wheel and said he would find his own fish which he didn't find either. I told him if I couldn't find them he couldn't. So with me being the parent, I took back the controls after I got through with my "told you so's" and we headed back to the ramp to load up. Got skunked in the hour or so we were there, but wouldn't trade it for anything.

Thats great you got out with him, first time he hooks a good slot fish on the snoopy rod he'll never forget it.
