I fished Bastrop on 5/8, 5/9 and 5/11. All three days I caught upwords of 30 bass each day. I caught nearly all of them on faster moving baits in 4-6 feet of water. It was too windy to fish my deeper water spots and get a good presentation so I had to fish protected areas. I caught several over 21 inches. I know that folks want pics for validation so here is a real horse I landed Saturday.

Primary baits were 1/2 willow leaf spinnerbaits and shallow diving crankbaits.
Primary colors were fire tiger and bluegill.

I had to come in to work Monday and beg my boss to let me off either Tuesday or Wednesday.

My excuse was I wouldn't be able to add value if I had to sit in my desk monitoring the staff while looking out the window and dreaming of all the fish I wasn't catching.

She is well aware of my fishing problem so once again she agreed to let me off without much notice. ;D

You're sure lucky to have a boss that understands (I do to most of the time, I just don't tell him I'm taking off for fishing ;D).

We'll be out on the Strop Saturday afternoon/evening me thinks, hopefully it stays on fire.

Thats a great fish. I had a pretty good day about 5 days ago with 5 fish between 20" and 20-7/8". All caught on a June-bug 7" Senko in 6" of water or less. I love that lake. Agian GREAT catch

Maybe we need to have a marshall to verify what baits were used, sizes and weights!!  ;D Of course, the marshall pays the ramp fee and buys the beer!!!!

Bastrop has been putting out ALOT of slot fish lately.  I'll be taking Crafty over there sat afternoon.

Nice fish! I've had several really good days at Bastrop this spring myself, but nothing that big - just all solid slot fish.
