Started fishing Lake Bastrop at 6:15am this morning. Finished at 11am. Caught bass on weightless flukes along shorelines and brush-hogs in watermelon-tx rigged against the rip-raf at the dam. Saw some big bass bust shad up, off the main lake point across from North Shore. Never hooked up.

Water temp ranged from 80 degrees at discharge to 74 degrees at in-take. Winds started calm and were blowing at 10-15mph at 11am. Overall another fun day on Lake Bastrop. Caught over 20 Bass from 10" to 18", most of them were in the slot (14" to 21")


Good to see coach ZDAWG at the ramp. He awaiting for football season to be finished, before getting back into bass fishing. Good Luck to his Bastrop HS football team!
