Went out to Bastrop with my nephew. Found alot of schoolies, and not just the small ones. Caught 15-20 fish between 4 of us. My 8yr old nephew caught around 6 on the launcher rig. Water temp was around 78-80 around the lake. Schools of fish just about everywhere. Bigger fish were caught near the discharge,  water was boiling!
1st fish was caught near a grass line, 19" and around 5lbs.

Had a blast today, weather was great, Just a little breeze, cloudy and cool.
We threw everything at them, the first fish pic was caught on a rage tail. All others caught on the small shiny spoon in the scoolies. Will be back out there again after work soon.

Way to go Lance. That's a nice 5 lber and awesome to see the kid having such a good time.

Nice Lance! Good pictures. Glad to hear the water temp has dropped 25 degrees since the fish fry ;D.
