At 6:00AM we pulled into the Bastrop South Shore Expo and Boat Show... what? There were ten boat trailers in the lot! We lined up and we‘re still on the water before safe light. We ran to our favorite shoreline and got lines in. It took a while to get our first bite. The sun came up and so did the bite. We got fourteen to the boat. We caught them on drop-shot, senko, Texas rig and spinnerbait. The flurry was brief, we doubled up a couple times. The bass closed up shop at 9.

We looked in the main lake, but Mother Nature unleashed a gusty sea-breeze. We went up the backwater in Boy Scout Cove and struck out. We went back to the favorite shoreline and crickets. Off at 11. Have a great week, y’all!
