Took a day off to hit Bastrop yesterday.
Caught between 15-20. Nothing huge. Biggest were 3 1/2 and 3 lbs. Saw loads of fish cruising very shallow. Some on beds. Caught about 1/2 my fish on the edge of, or in the reeds. Most of the rest came on lipless crank baits on the outside edge of the grass in 3-6 feet.
Went all the way back one creek in the timber but didn't do any good, or see many fish there.
Nice day to be on the water. Quite a few guys fishing.
