Caught 12, biggest was a 7.9 in the discarge cove. I saw the fish cruising the shallows tossed him a watermelon plastic and he tagged it. Caught fish in boy scout coves,discharge,main lake hump and 4 deads cove. Not a bad day at all.

Really, I thought with all those Florida strain there would be some big double digit fish in there. What is the lake record 14-15lbs?

I have heard of a couple double digits from the 'trop but have not seen one personally. Good job on the 7.9 Toad!!!!

That's a big fish for Bastrop, and I love it when you see those big ones, crusing the bank, cause the sand on the bank really makes them visible. Gets pretty exciting.

Maybe someday, but normally any bass touchin 8lbs is outstanding on the Drop. I would bet you're in small company with the toad U had. Nice fish... any pic's??

The lake is too hot for any bass to get much larger than 10#. Metabolism rates are too high.

My biggest there is 8.69#.
