I love Bastrop on a rainy, cloudy, slight wind day.

Two of us ended up with 36 but unlike last trip, most were 12-16" with 3 over 18".

Worked shoreline's grasses on this typical spinnerbait day on Bastrop.

Hope the two guys that got stuck at the turnoff at North Shore got to do a little fishing.

HEY HOOKEM!!! LOL< THAT WAS ME!!! I missed the turn, slowed down to turn around not thinking about all the rain bastrop had the day before. I pulled over, and as soon as my right tire hit the mud I sunk in about 4 inches. Popped the truck in Reverse, and with all the weight of the truck and trailer is sucked me in the ditch. while using four wheel drive.

Called a tow truck and he made it to us in 25 mins, and we got stuck about 5:30 am, was on the water fishing by 7. Thank god. Started off bad but ended up having a fantastic day on Bastrop.

Glad everything turned out well.

We were the ones that launched the boat and came back to see if we could help.

Did you catch lots of fish?

Yea, we caught a lot of fish all on Flukes. Was nice, had the bass schooling in the discharge all to ourselves for about an hour before a couple boats showed up.
